Mugen REP Trunk Garnish Install

did anyone have a problem installing this from honda fit tuner? it seems that there are some places where the garnish does not touch the hatch by a few milimeters. i was wondering how you guys fixed that? thanks

IIRC, the Mugen rep garnish needs some body work to fit properly. unless you can do your own bodywork, i would take it to a body shop and have them do the prep, paint, and install. otherwise, it won't sit flush and look really bad.

nah, i don't have the Mugen garnish yet. i plan on getting it after i get the iKONA open face grille.. i always assume anything with "replica" in its description will have fitment issues

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-uuuuuuuuupp
replicas will always need work to fit. and it always states on hondafittuner's site that it will need body work to fit properly. and im not too sure if you want the garnish to actually touch your bumper... unless you meant it doesnt sit flush to the bottom of the trunk hatch.

also since i got the replica tail lights, i figured after cutting the tabs, fitment would be good, but its still kinda junk..

My rep garnish is sitting at home waiting for me. I'm taking it to a bodyshop to have them do everything. I want flush fitment at the bottom and sides. Or as little as possible, to equal the space between other bodypanels.

Any after market body panels will need work to fit perfectly on a car. It doesn't matter if its a replica or a top of the line company. Replica parts just have a tendency to have a much poorer fit so need more work.
