Thanks, I just found that website. Anyone know what the differance is on the HID to Non HID? Is it just the HID come with the HIDs themselves? Or is the headlamp itself completely differant?

The front is about 6in shorter than the US due to the safety of the US (added support and such).

Thanks for the comparison pic... I'm new to the Fit (only have had mine for 2 days), but not to Hondas, so I've been soaking up as much as possible about the aftermarket and OEM offerings for this car.

i wonder if there is any way to modify the jdm rebar to reach US crash standards. is there any other bracing we can do behind the rebar or something like that. i would hate to get in an accident and not be covered ins wise due to the changes. how do yall feel? is it worth the risk? can we get the data on the jdm fit crash testing to understand better the reason for the usdm rebar being so much larger. maybe our crash testing is tested at a higher speed than the jdm for the same level of "protection".

if i had to take a guess... there are no hummers or suburbans in Japan to crash against!

that conversion is BEAUTIFUL... but i'll keep my 'dumb US giant truck crash prevention' bumpers.

Is there a picture showing the difference? I couldn't find a side by side comparison between the two headlights.

I think when he originally did it, he relocated the hoodlatch rather than swapping the core support... thats why it said 99%... i think hes since sold the Fit.
