help me get the right stance for my fit

hello all. I'm trying to achieve the proper stance for my fit; more bulldog like if you will but not too low. Just a little more sporty looking with a with a wider wheel/tire. most if not all of you are literally light years ahead of me on wheels, lowering etc. I'm thinking about 17" wheels. I've spent hours and hours looking at information here and have a bad case of sensory overload. with regard to offset, I dont even know what that means. I just want the wheels to be even with or just shy of the wheel well if that makes sense. I would really appreciate it if someone out there could recommend a lowering set up/wheel size etc. Also, whats a good site to shop for wheels? any pics would be appreciated if you've got a fit that meets this description. There is a fellow forum member with a taffy white fit(Jersey tag from the pic) with white painted wheels. His looks like its got the kind of set up I'm looking for. His screen name is "honda for life" I think. His is just one of many though that look great. Thanks.

Its a 2010, MR. Actually, I'm really starting to dig the white wheel look. I think it looks sweet on the TW and blue and am thinking it would look good with red also. Just a thought though. I could always paint my wheels and stick with 16's but I think 17's would be ideal at least looks wise. not locked into a particular style of wheel yet. just trying to get direction for the right stance.

Well, I found info in the wheel section about offset and wheel size. If someone could recommend a modest lowering setup that would be great. Thanks.

I think 17's are too big. You can't get the stance right with wheels that big on our cars IMHO. Go for 16's.
