OK, basically there's this aftermarket fit lip on Ebay that is said to be for
JDM 06-08 Fits. Link:

As some of you know the OEM Fit lips also fit perfectly on 99-00 Honda Civics. So I was just wondering if this lip will mount up to my Civic just as well? I know it's aftermarket and fitment won't be perfect, but will it be similar in terms of length as the original lip? Examples of the OEM Fit lip on Civics:

If our stock lip fits on ek then so should the aftermarket. Many people in here run that lip on their fit. Personally I do not like knock offs, but to each their own right. So I say do it, and keep us posted.

I smell a ek lip on my fit if this works for you. If fit bolts to ek......then ek bolts to fit. Come here backyard special

 

So are the USDM and JDM bumpers on Fits the same? I'm not sure if I want to go through with this because I don't want to spend $200 on a lip that won't even fit and not be able to return it..

 

Jdm and usdm are different. However the link you posted is for a usdm fit. Ebay calls everything jdm to sell to people that dont know what real jdm is. This lip in link well fit usdm fit is the moral without going into a whats jdm conversation.

 

So is the lip on that Civic from a USDM Fit? But basically you're saying everything seems right so it should work out right?

 

I dont know whats on that civic, but it looks like it. Appears to be the same from the pic. I would pm the guy with that civic and ask him if it was a direct fit or not. I know lips are modified alot to work on different cars. Fuck it DO IT>>>>>>>>>>

 

Checked out ej8squad.com. Went to the ROTM november. There are two that run the Fit front lip. It does not appear to be cut . So it must not be. It appears to be a direct fit. It will probably have to be bolted?screwed to the bumper, but that is normal on lips.

So moral is the ebay link you gave should work no problem. That lip is also for "North American Fits" which means USDM as i said before. So DO IT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>and keep me informed on fit. I got a plan
