Hey guys..

I am considering getting the Depo GE8 tail lights. I found some smoke housing ones on Ebay (link: 08-12~Honda~Fit~Jazz~GE~LED~Tail~Light~Smoke~Housing~ ~~ | eBay). Is that a good price?

Does anyone have these (or similar, same manufacturer)? What do you think? I am afraid they're going to look cheesy. Does anyone have pics? You can link to a previous thread if its easier.

I REALLY wanted the Axis tail lights, but 1) they are about $150 more on eBay and the group buy is over 2) they are currently out of stock of the color I wanted 3) some people from the group buy said theirs arrived cracked, makes me worry they're cheap quality.

Any input is appreciated!!!

Oh also: Has anyone gotten crap from the cops over smoked tail lights? I dunno how they are about it here in FL. I have 20% tint all around on my Fit, had 15% all around on my previous Integra, and my husband has limo (5%) all around. The cops have never said anything to us about any of it (Knock on wood!!!!).

Thanks for the pics! Those look awesome. I love the style.. I was worried they'd look cheap like those other styles but they definitely don't.

OP The tail lights from ebay that you linked look like Junyans. I realize there is a picture of them on top of a 'depo' box, but that could just be some marketing ploy. But if they are anything like the Junyans, beware, they weren't plug & play. I know because I owned a pair.

I also own a pair of 'Depos' that look like Theos92vr4. Those were much better with fitment and were plug & play. Actually, I have never seen Depos with that style before. To make it even more confusing, that style is in fact the older Axis tail lights.

 

Yep, found that out the hard way after I ordered them. They are definitely not plug and play. But, thanks to those who have shared their knowledge on this forum, I found a quick fix and bought a replacement part. It came in last week so I need to get around to actually installing them.. then I'll post some pics.

I like the style regardless. I really wanted the new Axis lights, but the group buy was over and the only ones I could find were over $300. Sorry, but that's just too much for me. I also read reviews from the group buy about how they arrived chipped and it made me worry about the quality.

I guess I'll do some research and see what brand the lights actually are.. There's no marking on the back and they came wrapped in bubble wrap in a box with no markings. Whoever I bought it from was shady, shady, shady.. I found rocks in the bottom of the box to pad the shipping weight.. :-/
