lowering springs '12

hello everyone im new to this forum, i am a female that works on my own car but making a thread because i need a little help with the lowering spring installation. I noticed that the rear spring is not on the coilover like the front. I put my lowering springs in the rear and when i raise the car up in the back, i can stick my hand in there and pull the spring out. So i just put my stock ones on. Can anyone help me out here? Its a 2012 i dont know if that makes a difference.

I think that's normal since the lowering springs are shorter than the oem ones. I did that on my GD too when I raised the rear, I can just pull the springs out.
