front end conversion

Has any one checked out the front from the mexican fit? i was looking at pics and started to wonder if it is the JDM style front end parts? If it is I think it would be alot easier to source parts and would be more cost effective. Hopefully someone knows. I was gonna post in the mexico forum, but it seems nooneis really in there.

I believe they are the same, but when people were sourcing the center console it turned out to not be any cheaper. I would figure that 90% of the parts come from the same place and it would be easier to just get the whole package from a vendor like AJ? I have ytoyed with the idea but it works out to 4k for the whole conversion w/ labor. I just feel you can do way more to the car for that.

actually according to my pricing.. if i was able to get it it can be had for about $1500 + paint... and I could pick it up so that eliminates shipping. I just need to make sure that it is comparable to the japanese fit.

I know ben, but I can save sooo much money if I can get these from mexico. if you can sell me the front for 1500 then SOLD haha.

im just saying it would be more cost effective for me cause I can get a discount from honda of mexico. I havent gotten a chance to check yo see if it is indeed the "jdm" style front.

I posted about the front end from Mexico the first week the Fit came out here, there is a guy that comes over to my shop and he has the Mexican Model Fit Vtec with Modulo lip on it. It all looks the same as the JDM fit core support headlights fenders bumper etc. The only difference I can see is that you can't get the bumpers prepainted from the factory. It's true I would be able to get the Mexican front end for around $1600 or so new they said I would need to pay in full and wait 2 weeks for the parts to come in from Honda in TJ.

I think that the Mexican Fits should be the same as in all Latin America, the ones made in Brazil, and should look like the ones sold down here:

The Mexican model is the 1.3 model and the one that I am selling are for 1.5S (Japan). If the parts that you are planning to get are made in Mexico then I can't beat that cuz as you know MDM made and JDM made, price is a huge difference already.
