New 07 5 spd owner.

Hey everyone. Figured I'd introduce myself since I just bought a 07..

I'm Mike and I plan on driving the wheels off this car. I imagine I'll ask some stupid questions, but by the time Ive run this Fit for a few years, I'll be pretty familiar with it and probably want to find a spare engine, just in case lol. I think fits are special. Special because they are so economical to buy and run.. Well, the economical to run will be determined in the future.. But they have a great reputation and it only has 136K on it and I bet I can take it to 300K. In fact, I bet both my GF's 09 fit and mine, both manual, will make it to 300K driving to and from my new bug-out property 45 minutes out of town..

Anyway, I had to find a alternative to driving my low mile 12 valve ctd back and forth as we break ground on "the farm" and I'm happy I found this ugly little car. I'll just wear sunglasses and a hat.

Cheers!

Welcome rerod! Yes, Fits do seem to attract thrifty, practical owners such as yourself! I chose my manual '08 Sport over every other car for the same reasons as you - and I haven't been disappointed! I wish I had a bug-out property, sounds pretty sweet!

The fit is all those things you mentioned and also really fun to drive as well. Congrats.
