New Fit for the household

Yesterday we picked up a 2019 Fit EX Aegean Blue, after looking closely at a Civic EX, Elantra Value and Impreza Premium.

Negotiated to a little shy of 900 under invoice with no trade, but we added remote start. It was a dealer trade and the car they brought in had already fog lights, door edge guards and wheel locks.

So far happy with it. One thing we didn't know it had was rear camera adjustable guidelines - we thought they were fixed. On the neg side, it looks you cannot open the windows/roof via the remote fob like we could on every other Honda we ever had..

They specifically don't include that, so you can aspire to trade it in on an accord 😛

Congrats on the new ride. The dynamic guidelines are available on EX and up models. I am also bummed about not being able to open the windows with the key fob. I remember finding a video of a civic being able to do that and I rushed outside to try it out on the Fit

What made you go with the Fit over the other choices?

Cost and resale value. The Elantra was priced the same as the Fir but had the tech of the Civic. But felt cheap. And resale value was abismal. The Impreza was priced higher than the Civic and was surprised about its resale value - as bad as the Elantra for some reason.

My son is actually paying for it so ultimately it was his choice. And the Aegean Blue was a good reason as well. The difference with the Civic was about 3K and he didn’t want to get that much into debt.
