Ok so I have a 2008 fit. 240000kms on it. As of late the battery light has been coming on and off periodically. Some times the headlights also will go bright and dim and the motor seemed to idle funny. This symptom only happened once. I had a multi meter on the battery and these were my results.
Not running was 12.6
Running was 14.43
Running with all electronics on was 12.23

anybody have this problem or similar? Anybody know what should be replaced to fix this.

 

Are your battery terminals securely tightened? How old is the battery?

 

battery is about a year old and the battery terminals are tight. Also put dielectric grease on the terminals to see if that would help.

 

Could be a wiring issue related to the charging system. Or alternator may not be able to keep up with the load.
