Hi all, I recently bought a 2015 GK5 that I'm in the process of sorting through some cosmetic issues on. In the process of getting to the antenna, I pulled the tail lights off since I had to loosen them anyway. While doing so, a little round translucent plastic cap fell off of one of them, so I had to figure out where that came from. There were four spots that it fit in, but only one was already occupied. The other tail light also only had two of four spots capped. I found a picture online showing the back (front?) and circled the spots - all four are covered in it. The parts diagram on dreamshop doesn't identify them as something separate, and I couldn't come up with search terms that weren't flooded with other tail light topics. So I guess the question is: does anyone know what these are for and do I need to replace the missing ones to avoid future problems?
I believe they a supports. They come out and you attach them to the body then they have a point on the other end and the light console will attach through thoses supports. Male/ female connection..
