Family Fit

We just bought a 2015 mt from Wife’s brother. I had worries about power until 30 seconds into drive. I’m 78, 6’plus and had no comfort issues on the 2+1/2 hour drive home. It turned 103k as I drove and am thinking new suspension would make sense but it seemed ok on all but the roughest roads. I’m a retired U of MN mechanic so wrenching on it will be fine. We are very happy to have it, it even has extra wheels with winter treads.

Welcome to the club. Glad you found a keeper. We need to get you a factory service manual and a clutch master cylinder w/o the delay valve everyone despises 👍

Manual will be nice. Clutch item is interesting, I imagine it is something to slow engagement. I have 65 years of motorcycle riding and wrenching so clutch and gearbox foibles are no problem. Only real concern is suspension lifespan as I read 100-150k. As one poster said remember it’s an econobox which I totally get. It rides quite well except on the rougher roads so maybe just inspection for seal leaks will be good for now. BIL was vg with maintenance and drove moderately so it’s a nice creampuff.

When you do decide to replace your shocks/ struts I can recommend Bilstein B4 OE replacements. I love mine.

Well maybe just economic rides but I once had a 70 or 71 ranchero stick. The po put a hurst shifter in it so no wobbly column mess.
