Fit owner, 2009 Fit

She is a 2009.According to records she started in North Carolina, then from Tennessee, she went north to Illinois and then went south again to North Carolina. I forget the mileage, but something like 250,000. Something I've never done. Hope to keep it going for a while longer. Any advice or hints on products that work for Honda, let me know. Haven't driven Honda this century. Had the Accord once. So nice to meet everyone and I'll be reading posts

I’d change the plugs and adjust the valves first. Then all new fluids (engine, coolant, brakes) and filters (oil Air and cabin). I’d be interested to see the valve train with the VC off.

Thank you OliveOil. Those are very good things for check and replace. It has gone to Auction as so much has. But seems solid and gutsy and wanting to stay alive a while longer. The photos from FitFreak really helps me understand things. Nonmechanic myself. But I have a great mechanic I take my stuff to. Just took in for a P code. Looked like air/fuel sensor, Which learning about that I didn't know there was a difference in oxygen sensor and A/F sensor so that was interesting. I so I bought one. Light has not come back on yet. As I get time and money I will do more, check the air filter, spark plugs, a oil change. Biggest thing on my mind is A/C. When I touch the dash button nothing happens. So going through steps to check my fuses, Have no history on the car. So starting small and checking different components for electricity to see if I can get that compressor to turn. So wish me luck. Thank you for contacting me. Since they don't make these anymore I can see all off our cars are becoming classics each day. The metal on the hatch actually feels like the old metal of long ago, So she' s a treasure for sure.

I've had various vehicles in my life. One thing with this Honda Fit is getting used to removing that tongue or cowl every time I need to get to that side of the engine, which is fine. But takes a little getting used to.
