Fit vs accord
Fit vs accord
first off, im 99.9% sure im going automatic in whatever car i get, im in real estate and drive city, highway and im constantly looking at maps, on the phone, taking pics, ect...which is why automatic is less fun but much much more practical.
comfort, reliability, ride quality are pretty important. I drove the MT fit and i liked it, $16,8xx AFTER tax and the AT fit would be $800+/- over that, so its pushing $18,000. im a big fan of the 2003+ Accords, my mom drives an 04 Ex leather and it drives amazing. Before i make any decision i like getting all the feedback i can (esp with car owners of the cars im looking into)
I could (there are a million out there) find an 03-04 accord EX w/ leather in 4cy or V6 and under 50k for the same price if not cheaper than the fit. BUT the fit is brand new with zero miles on it
any and all input PLEASE

Well the Fit will have much more storage options then the Accord, if you said you are in real estate I usually see those people hauling those open house sandwich board signs around. Maybe the fit would be better in that respect.
The Accord will offer a quieter, softer, more powerful ride. The Fit will have near zero miles, get better MPG on average (I avg 35, but some people get into the low 20's), haul more stuff, have a sportier feel around town, and stand out in the crowd.
I know an agent who drives a crazy amount of miles (30-40k miles a year). He recently purchased a Versa which is a little better suited for all highway driving that he does, but is a complete dog in the twisties.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the car for what it is.
It sort of boils down to what you need. Best of luck!

thanks for the input guys, i put a deposit in on a NHBP auto fit and it should be here in about 2 weeks, so i've got first dibs
and yes hauling those big clunky signs around, and the av. 35mpg compared to the accords av....around 25mpg would be nice..esp with crazy gas prices...ours jumped to $3.20ga for reg.unleaded
i'll keep you guys posted on what i get

I had an Accord wagon before the Fit. The wagon was roomy, and I thought going to a smaller car would at times be inconvenient, but the Fit's versatility is amazing! Carried home a 7 ft Christmas tree along with two adult passengers. My arthritic dog can easily climb in and either lie on the floor with the back seat up, or climb from the floor onto one of the back seats. I've hauled home small trees and shrubs using those Magic seats. A couple of SUV owners have noticed me putting all kinds of bulky items in my Fit (or seen me briefly stop to fill up the gas tank) and asked the inevitable question -- what kind of mileage does it get? And by the way, I don't know what the new Accords are like, but my '95 Accord wagon did not give me a quiet ride, even when brand new. It was a great car, though -- over 279,000 miles on it when I said goodbye. If you spend a lot of time driving, you may want to add a cushion to the seat (I needed one for the Accord, too -- Honda does not make cushy seats, at least in my experience).
