I tried to use leather/cloth mechanics gloves and for certain jobs they are 'ok' but for anything that requires a 'touch' I always just use my disposable gloves.

Jack adapters? huh?

I'm totally ready for the weekend. Need to order more waterless car wash solution considering trying the ONR or Optimum Waterless wash this time around. Haven't decided. My complaint about the Chemical guys stuff was I think the caranuba in it slowly clogs my sprayer. Guess I could just clean the sprayer more frequently to prevent that or continue to not store the solution in my sprayer but the gallon jug instead.

This rain the last few weekend has prevented me from washing cars for 3 weekends now....probably the longest I've gone without washing something. Its supposed to rain saturday too....geez.

The civic is the first car I have owned with leather upholstery...any tips on what products to use to maintain it?

I've had leather since the '80's and I believe in less is more. As in do less with it than you think and it will hold up for more time.

Here's what I use...

But, I'm sure there are TONS of other good options.

How much heat and sunlight your leather gets will determine how often it needs care. For most cars, once a year is probably enough.

Well I got some pretty dark tint and typically use a sun shade when parked so the interior is pretty protected. I havent had the need to clean up anything, but just want to ensure it stays nice, soft and supple like *insert something nice, soft and supple here*.

There was a member on civicx selling his CTR due to loss of employment. They are in Indiana though.

i just use Speedshine on my MF towel and dust off and every now and then use LeatherCare Spray from Griots as well. tint is your best friend for preventing fading.

also be careful not to scuff your butt against the side bolsters when you get in out of ur ride.

dogdamn fell asleep as soon as i took a quick break to stretch my back. lol
had a good meeting today, made new friends.

been driving a new chevy cruz sedan today. the obc and internal switch lighting is pretty crappy with the cruise icon getting hidden behind the tach needle around 2k rpm, i couldn’t initially see if the car had cruise working or not. lol the overall driving dynamic and seating position was considerably better than the GK and plenty of power from its vacuum cleaner sounding engine for normal driving. drove through a pretty decent blizzard / snow storm with crosswind and some mountainous roads but handled it just fine.

infotainment was pretty crappy and these cheap interiors suck but not a bad alternative to a sentra.

finally back at the office. wheeew.

u know that chevy cruze wasn’t so bad. if they gave me a hatch i might’ve preferred it more than the GK. i’m sure the GK has more cargo space but the driving dynamic was so much better.

And considering how silly my GK has problems i could careless about reliability issues cruze might have cause i’m already experience them on the GK.

A good friend of mine travels for work like you do. He had a Cruze with the small turbo motor. He liked it, but it didn't make it through the work week without the CEL coming on and going into limp mode.

He's a former muscle car guy turned into a present Subie owner and drives everything like he stole it.

His rental choice when offered is a Hemi Charger or Challenger. He hasn't broken one of those yet. LOL

Hmm. He had it about 3 months ago and he said it was brand new. So, I'm guessing it was the "new" one.

I think he got it up to a decent speed before it broke. LOL The only GM's I trust have v8's. That being said, some of them drive really, really well and their interior re-designs are some of the best. They've come along way from the Lumina days.
