Agreed. I already have a mental image of exactly how I want it to look & know all the stuff I'd do to it to make it drive exactly how I want it to.

For 70% of what I've spent on the S2000 the car would be PERFECT as opposed to a project nowhere near completion.

Sigh.

Could be worse...you could be dumping a ton of money and time into a Fit. Oh....wait....darn it!!!

lol

But for, minimal time & money on that.

In four years of ownership/60k miles, it has needed spark plug replacement bc ejected from cylinder head, fluids and two sets of tires. In a couple weeks I'll be doing fluids again as well as replacing the front end links. Come spring I'll put my Advans on with new tires on those, replace the shocks & springs, do a valve adjustment/plugs/coil packs and call the car done for another couple years. All together, probably $3k in maintenance/mods?

As much as the Fit frustrates me, for what I need from a car, it is pretty perfect.

Anybody know of any Fit clubs in Ga? Really been looking for awhile and it seems like the group I used to see ride around in Warner Robins has disappeared

No worries! I was speaking of my insanity. You're Fit expenses are completely reasonable. Between Quaiffe diff, ClutchMasters kit, camshaft, turbo kit, brakes front and rear, etc I'm pretty sure I'm into stupidity category.

I'm in the NE corner of GA. Years ago there was a group that met up in ATL. We went down once, but it's a long way down for us. Pretty sure all the originals moved on to other vehicles.

If you haven't already, join the TrueFitCrew FB group. You're more likely to find car club type people there.

Oh yeah, that stuff definitely adds up.

S2000 is my stupidity vehicle.

Also stupid: I almost about a set of old Advans for a Civic I'll never buy this morning. Was || this close.

Thanks for the info GAFIT! I’m pretty new to the Fit scene but always have had a love for Honda hatchbacks. I used to have a old 93 civic hatch and then sold it for a 03 Honda Accord. I loved that Accord, I had the K24 built to about as best as you could get the K24A4. But I see potential for the L15B1 in my GK.

I REALLY don't have space for three cars.

Sad.
One of my favorite cars was my 92 Civic Si hatchback. Not very fast, but a nice handling little car. But you know me I'm a slow car fast kinda guy. I haven't see a clean one of those in years. Many were used up & chewed up by the Fast n Fidgety crowd. Rust claimed the rest.

Dude I've been on the lookout for a 92-95 hatch but everything available locally or even within 250 miles...is beat to shit....riced out with every autozone accessory...or they want some ridiculous amount for something with 250k+ miles and peeling paint.

Theres a CRX SI in my neighborhood that has about 2 feet tall grass around it...half tempted to knock on the door and offer the guy some money lol. Per googlemaps its been there since 2011.

Need. To both.

The idea of leaving work & hopping into a 25 year old economy car that revs to the moon & weighs about 18 oz sounds incredibly satisfying.

I guess it's a good thing that you're back. Now your legions of followers can hang on your every intentionally (and unintentionally) misspelled word while FitFreak benefits from the massive amounts of traffic you draw with your posts about haircuts and what you had for dinner.

:eyeroll:
