The quote I got was around 9k for a GD3 1.5 VTEC Fit 2004 all inclusive for a low mileage (20k miles) car. This was a bit more than we were prepared to pay for one. I wonder if it would be any cheaper if we both imported one?

Kerbie, nice cars... i too have had a DC2 and DC5....

you will not be able to get a 1.5 vtec (GD3) unless you are willing to pay about £3000 for a new model report to be made..or implant a new engine and gearbox into a GD1..

the current model reports are only for a 1.3 Auto only... i enquired about it when i imported my own white GD1

....the new shape (GE) will be in the UK/EU soon (- I saw one today, testing in Warwick.)

it might be better to enquire about importing the 2nd Gen Fit (GE)

True, unless you can find a company willing to pay for the model report. I found a company who were willing to do just that on the condition that they keep the rights to the report.

I sat in the new shape Fit and the Fit RS when I was in japan back in November. To be honest, not that impressed with the improvements. I think the improvements aren't significant enough over the current Fit for me.

Some pics I took:

Update - I tried my best to get to import a Fit but like the other UK forums members suggested, it was just too difficult and costly!

Soooooo instead I bought another Integra Type-R .... but this time a Black 2005 facelift model! I had played around with the idea of a SWIFT Sport but it just didnt compare!

Here is a little pic! Hope you like!
