Picking up my 09 TW 5 speed on 11.21.09

The deal has been made... as of Friday I will be the owner of an 09 Fit sport in TW, with a 5 speed and navi.

Im coming from a 2000 Celica GT-S 6 speed. The celica was/is a fantastic car (for me) and I will be sad to see it go. But the fit seemed to make so much sense for my wife and I at this point in our lives... it was hard to turn it down.

Decided on the Fit (in no particular order) because:

Intrest rates are LOW.

Four doors vs two. We plan on starting a family in the next few years

The fit and finish on this car is unreal, especially for a sub 20k car.

MPG

REGULAR old gas. Which isn't a huge deal right night, but I don't see it staying this low.

The celica was lowered with a kit, and my wife scraped it... ALOT.

Coming from a 9 year old car, the Fit has LOTS of bells and whistles.

Its a HONDA.

One of the things I simply love is the fact that it reminds me of my FIRST car, just updated with more bells and whistles. My first car was a 1990 Honda civic HB.

================================================== ====

There were also alot of other factors, but no need to go on and on.

Im 30, (I can't tell if most of the people here are older or younger, or if its a pretty good mix) been married for just over two years. And live in Harrisburg PA.

================================================== ====

Now that thats all out of the way, what else should I know about this car? I think I have pretty much info on it, but Im always looking to learn more.

Look forward to getting to know you guys/girls and looking forward to Friday to pick up MY FIT.

Welcome aboard! With all that cash you are saving I suggest an oil futures contract as far out as you can get it.

Tint and some winter tires would be wise, given the season and the windows do heat up greatly in the summer.

Well, I got a call yesterday, and the dealership got it in and prepped a day EARLY. Picked her up last night! WOOT WOOT!!! The car is fantastic, I have lots to still learn with the nav and a few other things, but I think I have the basics covered!

Other than the lack of standard floormats (which I was suprised at) there were no other suprises. The dealership was fantastic, and I can't complain about anything. BTW they got my 09 TW Fit Sport Nav in a manual in 5 days after I decided that was the combo I wanted. I have heard (maybe incorrectly) that this combo is pretty hard to come by.

All thats left, is to make it MINE.
