Talking New Fit Owner

Hey everyone! I'm a new "Fit Freak"

I just purchased a brand spankin' new 2009 Honda Fit Sport (AT) in Orange Revolution Metallic. I'm loving the car so far and can't wait to drive it for many years to come (I hope).

I traded in my 2004 Mini Cooper S. I was tired of shelling out mega money for maintenance on a "high quality" vehicle. While it was fun to drive, and I'll miss it, I won't miss spending the money.

So anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Hoping to get some ideas of how to make my Fit my own.

Have Fun!
Lil' Joe

Hey Lil' Joe,

I too am a new Fit Freak. I just picked up my new Sport AT 2 days ago. I got the Blackberry Pearl because I love dark purple, but my second choice was the Orange Revolution, both cool colors. I had a Ford Explorer. This is cool because it's more fun to drive, but still has cargo convenience plus the amazing gas milage! Very happy so far.

I'm making mine my own by tinting the glass darker and adding extras as I can like the center console, footwell lights, the leather shifter etc. Plus I got cool license plate frames.

Enjoy!

Hey there... Thanks!

I was going through tires more often than I cared too. I kept having headlights go out (those are not cheap), Things were breaking that I feel shouldn't be (front control arm bushings). And through some digging, I found that within the next 20K Miles, I would have to replace the transmission due to poor engineering (metal shavings in the transmission that BMW is aware of), and MINI/BMW would not cover the cost for it.

That's when I said enough was enough.

I enjoyed driving the MINI, but didn't feel I should have to put that much maintenance into that vehicle. I'm not rough on my stuff and try to take care of it. But it got to where I would dread driving for fear of every bump in the road would break something else.

Hopefully you're having better luck with yours!

As far as the FIT, I don't think I could be any more happier.

well you were relying on british production car so that's pretty much the 'norm.'
hahahaha. but mine's not perfect either. the a/c went out a few years ago
dealer attempted to fix it 4x and failed. i dont use a/c on the car (it's my
hobby car) so it doesnt bother me.

check out my albums page for picts of my 03.

you'll like the FitSports. i guarantee it. especially the 09's are so much nicer
in stock form vs the 08's.
