I just joined the Fit Owners Family!

Hello! I just bought a 2008 Fit Sport last night with only 4700+ miles. I traded in my 2003 Element EX AWD that I bought brand new.

There are quite a few differences between the Element and the Fit. Some good and some bad.

First the good:
  • better mileage
  • sportier
  • I have a warranty again
  • 5 passenger
  • easier doors to load/unload passengers in a tight parking lot space
Now the bad:
  • no AWD
  • stock stereo not as good
  • ride not as smooth
  • harder to load/unload cargo
  • not as easy to clean inside
I am not interested in any external modding to speak of. I would like to add something for iPod Touch compatibility (either an add-on kit or new HU). I'd also like to add a center armrest/console. I have seen 3-4 options in consoles, so I need to narrow it down to which one to buy. I'd also like some good floormats, a cargo cover, etc.

I have spent the last several days browsing this forum looking for information. It looks as good as the Element Owner's Forum I go to on occasion.

Congrats and welcome to the Fit Family! What colour is your Fit?

I've had my Fit for almost a week and I'm loving it. I'm averaging 40 MPG city driving, woohoo!

hey, welcome aboard! I bought my all season mats (and other accessories) from ebay, found the mats for about $60 less than the dealer offered. enjoy your Fit.

I will check both places.

Looks like with a great 20% off coupon from JC Whitney, I can get the WeatherTech Floorliners front & back delivered for $159.17 and also get $20 worth of JCW gift certificates. I just have to figure out the correct part number for the back one. They list about 5 options:

WeatherTech Rear FloorLiners Mats : JC Whitney: Auto Parts & Accessories
