I am turning 40 in a little over a week, and for my birthday, my wife let me buy a new car.

I really wanted to replace our 2002 Pontaic Montana minivan with a much more fuel efficient car that could still haul stuff as needed. After looking at the Versa and Kia Soul, I found the Fit to be the best "fit".

We usually buy used cars, but considering that new Fits aren't that expensive, we decided to go ahead and buy a new 2011 base model. My wife doesn't really care for the styling, but my kids and I love it so far.

I was looking at this forum the past few days before making the purchase, and it seems most of you are very happy Fit owners. This is my first Honda purchase, though my parents used to own an early Civic and and early Accord (80's models).
