Just got my 2012 Orange

My Orange Fit sport 5sp manual finally arrived last friday after a 3 week wait. I'm surprised at how few manuals are available, the dealer I got mine from only had 2 scheduled to come in this year, so I was lucky to that he had the model, trim level and color I wanted already scheduled to come in. Here she is:

Nice color especially for the autumn! Congrats. The 2012 Orange looks a bit deeper in color than the 09 & 10 Orange Revolution- what is this color called?

It's called Orange Burst Metalic. It is quite a bit darker than the Orange Revolution, someone a few blocks away has that color and I was surprised at the difference. Since I hadn't seen the color in person till the car arrived I was expecting it to be lighter, but I prefer the darker color once I saw it. They also got one in in the Blue Raspberry color, definitely not something I would pick.

I really like the new orange color! Nice & vivid!!
Reminds me me of a copper/bronze Mustang I used to own in college.

I like all of the '12 changes. Darker headlights, more aggressive front fascia, nicer/darker wheels. I'm kicking myself for having my Mom buy an '11 a month before the '12 came out. I didn't think the changes would be so drastic.

beeeeoooteeful. This is the color I want! I am looking for a 2012 Sport AT specifically. So Cal dealers have been not jumping up and down to help me find one...(Cash up front have anything to do with it?) I hope I can get one SOON!

Did you find one? Your signature is a bit confusing.

When I was looking for a Raspberry Blue for my daughter, I called every Honda dealership within a 400 mile radius of us. If we had to, we would have taken a little over the week-end trip to get one.

I figured, she was going to have to drive the car for a long time ~ at least get her through medical school ~ so probably 6-7 years or so. Why buy a car she isn't crazy about? Too much money to settle for something that you don't love. Name: smilie035.gif

Dear BlueEyed,
Thanks! My sig was put in when I was told a dealer had one for me. No such luck. Still crossing my fingers, and making phone calls..

Fit Flag- I too wanted a specific color when I bought my Fit in May 2010--I wanted either of the blues they had back then. Blue Sensation or Tidewater. My local dealer looked within a 500 mile radius and none could be found--my salesman finally made a trade with another dealer who was getting a Tidewater Blue in--I had to wait about a month, but glad I did not settle.

Just picked up my Orange Burst Metallic Sport M/T 2 days ago and love it! The color wasn't my first choice but after seeing it in person the color grew on me and I really don't have any regrets in going with it.

The Fit Sport version with M/T was in short supply here in N CA and my only other choice was Red or wait until January for alabaster silver.

Congrats- IMO- Orangeburst is one of the best Fit colors ever!! All my dealer ever seems to have in stock is silver or black.

Thanks sooznd! I'm stoked.

The color sure is growing on me and I like the way the OBM color changes colors in various lighting conditions. I thought the silver looked cool but no one had to twist my arm to force me to go with the OBM.

It was funny 2 different dealers here both had the Orange Burst in stock.

I think that just about describes OBM.

It appears to be more of a burnt orange and when it's in darker lighting, it almost looks like a copper.

I agree, the changes to the 12 on the outside are VERY nice, too bad they darkened out too much inside though....that can be changed out very easily
