Engine whine

I have a 2007 Fit Sport - 150,200 mi - recently hearing a whine in the engine - seems to be on the right side as you face it. Does not sound like a loose belt - more pronounced when accelerating - & seems to go away after driving 5 - 10 miles. Any ideas?

Thanks - certainly hope you are wrong!! Manual transmission - clutch replaced about 20,000 miles back - w/check transmission.

Manual Transmission (MT) fluid? Serpentine belt is too tight? On my other old MT cars, the whine usually comes from the transmission itself - especially in 1st or 2nd gear when the car is cold, but lessens when warmed up. I have an auto tranny on Fit, so I can't really help you there.
