Greetings!

Hello All!

I drive a 2015 Fit (we call them Jazz here) with a L15Z5 engine. I have been reading up / following various threads in this forum for tips and had finally decided to join in the conversation.

I have not done much to my Fit since I bought it but here's a list of what I have so far, most of them just cosmetic. I try to DIY them myself whenever I can.
  • Mugen Bodykit
  • Mugen Window Visors
  • LED Turn-Lights DRL Switchbacks
  • PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow (Fog Lamps)
  • Stainless Steel Scuff Plates
  • 17x7 Enkei GW8 with Yokohama Advan Fleva tyres 205/45/17
  • TM Works Direct Power Harness
  • Drop-in Stainless Steel Air Filter
  • Ultrex 700 C Brake Pads

Very nice! I have those same door scuff plates, you can remove the blue plastic protection from the 'FIT' and it looks a lot better.

Really? I wasn't aware that I could peel it. I did however peel off the blue stickers on the reflective bit. I'll give it another check later.

Apparently this prevents the voltage drop supplying into the ignition coil due to aging of contacts/battery before stepping up it up to create the sparks in your spark plugs.

And according to them, you could upgrade later on by adding this, which supplies 16V to your ignition coil. This is said to increase your torque. Seems fishy, but the popularity of the product here says otherwise. The price is however on the expensive side since it's supposedly Made in Japan.

The air filters I'm using are so called high flow air filters based on the old Blitz/Simotas. So in a way, they are cheaper knock offs, but the guy who sold it to me could vouch for it's quality. He mentioned that they are made in Taiwan, and some of the guys working there used to work in Blitz. I don't know, but anyway unlike the K&Ns etc you don't have to recharge the filters; just run it an open tap or vacuum it, and place it back to your air filter box.

Oh and the brand's called UTR.

After using them for a couple of weeks, the first change I could see is the improvement on my fuel consumption. I could easily reach 40-42 mpg on the highway if my foot is well disciplined enough.

About power... meh. It's not really significant enough to tell.

Both items are quite popular in my country, however I'm not so sure if you could get it in the States.

Thank you for the detailed response. I had put in a drop-in K&N and it hasn't made much of a difference. It's slightly more throttle response, but don't think there are any real power gains.
