I'm looking at a 2011 GE8 FS for sale, low miles decent price. I am confused though because in the photos it's missing the wheel audio controls and I thought those came standard with 2011-2013 FSs. Am I mistaken or did the previous owner remove these - and if so, why would they remove them?

 

my 12 sport had them but i can't remember if my 09 sport did or not.

I can't answer your second question but as to your first-my 2012 FS has steering wheel audio controls.

 

OK, thanks for the context. I guess it's 2012-2013 only. That must be the only difference between the 2011 and 2012-2013.

 

not sure if that is the only difference. i saw quite a bit of difference under the car between the 09 and 12 i had.

 

I have heard but not confirmed that there is additional sound insulation and I think 2012 was the first year that VSA was required.

 

yah, i cant remember... i use to work at a place that was more casual attire so drove my car with the window open 99% of the time not caring about my hair and clothes smelling like a faking pile of outside stench when i got to work. lol haha
