side marker help
#41
i only eyeballed one side though ray.
then i marked it. measured it all around and then just used the measurings for the other side.
all mine are even. i wouldnt roll around with uneven sidemarkers. that would make me mad.
i want that grill ray!!!

Getting them installed?
Is the wiring a simple plug in? I am comfortable installing an exhaust or something that easily bolts on, but I am a little wary of cutting into my fenders. Do you think that an autobody place would take on the installation?

i think they would but go to a auto performance shop. you know where they sell stuff like intakes and springs and such. they will be able to do it.
its really not that hard. drill a hole. and then just dremel file the hole bigger.
but if you are scared then its worth getting someone else to do it for ya.

I'm going to be DIY'ing my amber ones as soon as my nibbler tool shows up in the mail. How did you guys wire them up, did you just splice into the headlamp harnesses? I can either tap into the actual turn signals, OR I can do what someone here suggestions one line to the parking light 1 line to the turn signal which would result in an "always on, and flashing" setup.
Because for the turn signal mirrors I heard it's easier to tap into the hazzard switch.

I grew a set today and installed mine with a dremel. Thanks to Lunar_GD3 sending me the template in a word doc file so that it printed out the right size. I just used a cutting disc, it only used about half of the disc. I leveled the sidemarker's with the door sills and not the body line. Tapped into the front turn signals near the bulb for power.
