Projector Fog Lamps
Projector Fog Lamps
hey guys its me tony, i was sleeping last night as i slept i had a dream...lol..i was actually bored at work..but yeah i was thinking about placing projector fog lamps inside the oem fog housing to give it a stock look..i mean someone probably has done it..but i thought if you projector h/lamps it would be nice to have projector fog lamps....i mean im not sure about this idea..but if anyone has some ideas about it or has tried or seen it done before it would be nice to get some feedback
is there a mrs. turbo in the picture thats why no fogs for you.....lol

hey don't hurt ants.. ^(red ant) hahaha JK.
Well yeah, after reading this post i was thinking about it all day at work too, so i picked up a pair of projector and tried to retrofit them to fit, but the thing is i have no idea what i'm doing. so far it looks like this...

it works but it doesn't look good with that gap between the housing and the light. any idea on what i should do??? was thinking getting some black mesh and cover it there.. Should i even try to do this or just put the stock fog lights back on. help me out guys thanks...

You're going to want to take the lens off the stock housing, and cut a hole in the back of the housing to fit the projector, aim everything, then remount your lens on the front. That will keep the water and bugs off your projector, and keep the gap looking stock!
yeah what yeaman said you might not even have to cut the housing in the back if you can heat up the housing you can place it on the inside...and retrofit it like the headlamp retrofits..what kinda projectors are those and what bulbs do you use?
i think they are for a 240 don't remember got them off ebay, they use H11 bulbs too. i see what you guys mean about taking apart the old housing, i'll probably give it a try someday. anyone take the glass off the fog light yet?, i would imagine it's a bit harder then the headlights.
so they are the same hmm...i wonder i got the h11's in HID..i wonder how that would look..loll...and ..get me the name and stuff of the the projectors that you got maybe they are too big to fit inside the housing..
