Carbon fiber headlight assy. + projector

I've got a friend that does custom carbon fiber work mostly for motorcycles, but he messes around with other things as well. I was thinking about designing a headlight assembly with a built in HID projector that would be a drop in replacement for 09 Fits and have him make the whole assembly (minus the lenses, of coruse) out of CF.

Would anybody be interested in this? If he makes this, it probably wouldn't be cheap, and it would take a while for us to build a mold for it.

I've been leaning towards buying a set of base headlights (because I would not have to paint them, they're dark already) and having them retrofitted. Depending on the price of the carbon ones I'd def be interested.

Base headlights are a dark grey, not black. They dont look as good. Also im pretty sure most people wouldnt want a generic projector. Most people doing retrofits want quality projectors like FX35's or TL's. I did a FX35 projector retrofit and it cost me around $1400 including ALL parts (bi-xenon, projector, clear lens mod, oem 4300k philips bulbs, ballast, shrounds, and a wiring harness for an H4 socket), also that price includes a brand new set of headlights as I couldnt be without my car for more than a day. This was all painted black too.

Not sure why anyone would want carbon fiber headlights though. And if hes going to do a proper retrofit it will probably be close to $2000.
