LED turn signals, im missing something hmm...

hey guys look whose around lol anyway in the near future ill be getting LED tails and this model doesn't ahve LED turn/reverse, i dont think the others do either. THinking about putting in some LED reverse signals and turn signals on the rear and front. I heard though that you need some resistor or soemthing? for LED flashers? so they dont flicker? idk it was something i heard a long time ago. And would this just be for the turn signals? or the reverse lights as well? thanks in advance

you don't need the loading resistor for the reverse lights, just pop a led "bulb" in there

the load resistors you need to have for the signals to prevent hyperflashing. they are easy to install if you get the ones from superbrightleds.com or whatever because you just clamp the loads onto the wire and then put the led "bulb" in. there are probably wires you need to splice too.

buy from superbrightleds,
i love that site,
get the model : RL 650,
the others are not strong enough and will just blow your fuse, - the power "flows too quickly" thru leds, and the smaller resistor isnt enough..
so get the 6 ohm 50 watt
youll need one for each corner, -

most cars you can swap out the flasher unit, but our car it is integrated into the circuitry in the gauge cluster, so the resistor is the only way...

i see it, im trying to get the most angle out of the lights tho and theres a brighter one tho, for 25 bucks tho =\ hmm i do need brightness for turn signals, so maybe ill get the $12 for turn signals and a pair of $25 for the reverse lights, a little extra angle and brightness will help :] and its 5500k, so not bad

i will be smoking my tails, but not much, just to give an obvious yet subtle look of black. and eys im in the mountains, even the 4300k does a decent job behind me hehe its all in the reflectors although im looking for something at 6000k and a decent range for a 7440 bulb

keep in mind its not much brighter than the 3 combined of the other style,
so you get 3 weaker bulbs, or 1 bright bulb- that are about the same overall

really? the 1 bulb LED is 26 lumens "brighter" than the 3 bulb led. idk if thats much but, is it? i understand where your coming from about 3 bulbs vs 1 bulb. im still iffy, leaning towards the 3 bulb but idk yet

i wont be getting them in the same color, but yea. i forgot all about the switch back tho! not sure how they work tho, being that the fit's turn signals is not "on stand by". would the light be white even when the turn-signal is no t engaged? or...how would they work?

if you get the yellow color light, the plastic is colored yellow-
is that what you were asking?

no. for some cars, the front "turn singals" would always be on and amber. when the driver hits a turn signal (the stick out of the steering column) then the front turn signals would start flashing ( as well as the rear). but the fit's front turn signals is not always on, only when the switch is engaged. the switch back, has two colors, 6000k range and amber, 6000k when not engaged and steady on, amber flashing when turn switch is engaged. here is a video of it. YouTube - Switchback LED Turn Signals my question is, would the 6000k be on? even though stock settings is for the turn signals to be off when not engage.

your not buying those lights,
your only getting one color,
they blink on when the blinker is switched on,
and when its switched off they dont do anything

One hundred dollars installed. I also have yellow for the blinkers and yes they are tapped into my blinkers.
A piece of advice, you had better know a thing or two about resistors.

UGH you always tease me with your show-off of your lights lol and yes i know a thing or two about resistors, at least for individual LED, i had to make my own 3rd brake light. Still open to learning more so 100 for the grill LEDs. and are you saying the white LEDs in the grill, are the blinkers? so there switchbacks? or?
