Looking for recommendations on HID fog lights

My right front fog light is broken by road debris (rock) and I am interested in replacing them with HID fog light. I think I want real HID lights and not the colored “I-want-to-look-like” (read cheap imitation) HID lights.

Brands, links, comments, recommendations all accepted.

Thanx

If you want the "real HID lights" you need to get projectors and retrofit them somehow into your foglight opening. Anything else will be "cheap imitation HID lights"

Ya if u want the real thing u have to retro fit them. But i dont think anyone has retrofitted foglights yet. Anyways if all the plug and play kits are pretty good. I have two kits myself and they work amazing. One for my headlights and one for my fog lights. They arnt crazy blinding eventho they one of tje cheaper kits but they are well made. Its up to you but if u want a plug and play kit they arnt horrible like everything thinks they are. Just my 2 cents.

Two comments and no manufacturers listed. How about the manufacturer that you have used/bought. Give me names…that’s what I’m asking for.

The guy that did my retrofit also offers retrofitting for foglights. That includes Lexus ES300 projectors with the yellow lens. Comes with OEM bulbs and OEM ballasts so the quality cannot be beat. Neither can the output.

He also custom makes LEXAN glass lenses to protect them that way you will never have to go through this again. These are the real deal. Pricing is a tiny bit more than an immitation HID kit. Contact Rich for more info. Heres his blogspot showcasing the foglight's he has retrofitted. You can also see his headlights on there.

Has anybody installed the Mugen HID Fog Lights?

–łŚŔ | FIT | PARTS

Will they fit in the stock Sport Fit spoiler or only into the Mugen Spoiler?

Looks like those will only fit the Mugen bumper, which only fits the JDM front end.

You make it sound like a bad thing...

Do you have any idea of the amount of modifications needed to install them?

You'll need JDM headlights, front bumper, fenders and some other little parts here and there.

That is not what I meant to say or do.

I’m entertaining the ides of installing the Mugen HID fog lights into a USDM bumper/spoiler and not converting the USDM Fit nose into a JDM nose. Any information on this type of mod would be greatly appreciated.

Do you recall what you would have paid for the fog lights? JHPUSA just quoted me for the Mugen fog lights = The Fog’s themselves cost: $1172 (White) / $1231 (Yellow).

Bulb choice for fogs.. H11 size if you are not planning to do a HID conversion...

M-TEC Bulbs fogs

Bulb choice for headlights, 9003 size if you decide your headlights look ugly and dull, yellowish, after
putting in new super-white fog bulbs (they will).

M-TEC Bulbs headlights

either can be changed out easily.

Wow that is insane! Not to mention the modification youll have to do to make them fit.

When I spoke to Rich he quoted me about $350 I believe. Thats just a ballpark figure so dont quote me on that. Send him your foglights, he will install HID projectors, bulbs, ballasts, and a lexan glass cover to prevent cracking from road debris. I plan to do this myself when the time comes. You'd be the first to do this on a Fit.

check out xenonvisions.com. they have a forum posted somewhere. they use real xenon bulbs, with bi-xenon available AND slim ballast.

He was pretty clear in his first post that he didn't want immitation HID's.

Just tell em Francisco sent ya! He knows me already. That $25 will go to my foglights.
