They are fitted on all European cars by law. Our UK Honda Jazz has them. Sometimes get both sides and sometimes just one side (which is always the off side)

Our ones are actually integrated into the rear light cluster so they are not separate.

basically, the rear fog likes in our UK Jazz are placed in the empty section under the indicator/reverse light.

On the standard rear lights of the US market, there should be an empty section under the indicator/reverse, that's where our fog likes are placed.

In mainland Europe, we have fog lamps integrated in the rear light cluster, on the left side only. The switch is on the light wheel column stalk, linked to the light, because it is illegal to drive with fog light on when the lights are not on, so it is automatically switched off with the main lights.
The picture shows something not available here.

Rear Fog Lights

OK OK OK,

Before all you Freaks start trying to outfit yourself with rear fog lamps, this is mainly just another taillamp (most americans are totally unfamiliar with the concept), and there is most likely not a single state where it would be legal.

Cars are being sold here in the states with rear fogs.

I figures that is what the states already have for something like a rear tail light

What's this fetish with fog lights? Another thread has lots of posts for the front ones and now rear ones.

Only ones I ever see are at night when the clueless want to blind other drivers with their new fog lights.

I guess they never get to use them otherwise. LOL

And for those places that really do get thick fog, do the lights do any good?

In heavy fog, having a rear fog light can save you ass from getting rear ended.

The police up here would consider a rear fog lamp like a broken tail light
showing white and would give you a ticket.

I guess it depends on where you live. More power to ya

youre right...I think it depends country to country...but here where I live where there are seldom fogs, we use the rear fog light(red glow) as an added safety item, for better visibility at night against drunk drivers..believe or not ..altough there are laws against driving under the influence of alcohol... no one has been actually jone to jail for this....

rear foglights light red. Many cars in North America come standard with them. In our market, they are primarily placed in the rear taillight assembly, and one side or both sides will light brighter.

I can't think of any cars off hand with seperate rear fog lamp assemblies, but I know some Land Rovers and other SUV's have them.

It is an excellent safety device, as Corey stated above. It's just ashame it never really caught on on this side of the pond.
