Why does the fit S knob have to be so nice?

I got an email saying he'd redo it for free, and the only reason he didn't use my image is b/c the resolution was too low. Not surprisngly, he is hesitant responding to my emails, but I'm not going to be upset over that, b/c this situation is awkward for both of us.
I wonder why he didn't just ask me if I had a higher resolution one (which I did). The one they gave me look nice, but I did pay 100$ after all, and I really loved that font, so I wanted emailed them my complaint last saturday.
