Damn the Scosche kit is so much more appealing.... it's unfortunate about the colouring issues though.

the metra looks like on ass with most single din decks ive tried. and thats about 3. however i had a alpine double din and it was ok looking. but scosche kit i think looks more refined. but to bad you cant get them in canada ive been told.

if anyone here in van, wants the metra kit just let me know. i have one sitting in my room i dont really have a need for anymore.

Hi all, just joined. Picking up my UK Jazz in two weeks.

Anyone found one of these kits suitable for a RHD car, with a single DIN slot?

Thanks,
Sally.

Im planning on moving my system from my escape to my fit. Its a fosgate p3 12" Powered by a fosgate p6002 amp bridged, and a fosgate punch 250 amp going to a mb quart component set up front. I also have a full tsunami kit with cap and distribution blocks and the whole deal. You guys think the fit will handle that set up ok??
Any info would be great.

I ordered a head unit from crutchfield so I got the metra kit half off and the antenna adapter, wiring harness for free. and the master sheet for the fit free also. I hope the install goes well too. looks like a bit of a job. I hope to do mine real soon.

Good luck.

Is this the Scosche or Metra kit?
Scosche HA1558B (Specialty Kit, Equivalent = Metra 99-7872) - The Metra 99-7872 installation mounting kit allows you to install a standard, Single DIN size (2" tall) or Double-DIN (4" tall) aftermarket stereo in your 2007 Honda Fit - , Car Installati

It mentions both the Scosche & Metra part numbers.

I want to get the Scosche kit so I could use the Casopolis kit w/ my Scangauge.

Thanks.

Nevermind...its a Scosche. Did the compare advised in a previous post. The Scosche kit has the contoured face whereas the Metra has the flat face (like the stock face). ...

Ok, I think I've decided on the Single DIN look and the Metra kit, having seen the pictures. I think overall the Scoche kit looks good, but I can see the Metra kit looking better long term, and apparently it's the one Crutchfield gives you when you buy a head unit. Winner winner chicken dinner!!

lol @ the blackjack reference. Seen the movie 21 I guess eh?

I like the look of the double-DIN, so I'll go with the Pioneer P4000-DVD for $500 from Crutchfield.

here's a camera phone pic of my metra kit, pioneer avic-d3 kit installed

i also hooked up my ps2 and my bazooka basstube sub, so it's enough for me

reason i have blue tape is because i didn't put the clips on the mounting brackets, i'm still waiting for my ipod cable so once that comes, i can slide it out, hook it up, and mount it with the clips

Very nice installation job. That looks like it came OEM. Did you find any instructions for taking the Fit dash apart?

I'm shocked to see how cheap the in-dash pieces are to add a DD unit to a Fit. I had to order the pieces in Japan for my G35 and it was about eight times more expensive.
