Can the rear bumper appliqué be removed once installed?

For the Fit owners who have installed the appliqué, have you tried removing it and if you have, is it an easy process?

Also, do you get a lot of dust and debris trapped around the edge of the appliqué?

Thanks.

i do not have one, but chances are (based on other cars) you can remove
it, but will require some level of messy adhesive removal which can be
tackled by wd40 and a plastic razor blade/squeegee.

as far as dust accumulation on the primeter... yes. as bad as the
door sill decorations. it's quite a pita to work around when detailing
your car... one of the reasons why i do not plan on getting one.

my legacywgn has a factory installed version and it's great for daily use,
but it's a pita when it comes time to detail the car.

Got you! Your explanation makes sense. I've avoided getting the door sills as well for the same reason. The applique just gives the bumper the accent that makes it look even better though.

I would definatley not try to remove it, I asked the dealer after I had already purchased the car if they could take it off, for a fee of course. They told me it was a better idea just to leave it on because it is really, really hard to get off especially without seroiusly damaging the paint. You could try and take it of but yo might have to fix the paint on the bumper then.

You could always try GooGone. It does wonders.
