Radio reception

Anyone else have issues with radio reception? I find the reception to not be as good as other cars. Perhaps the hills have something to do with it, but I've gotten much better reception from other vehicles I've owned while living in the same area.

I have issues with reception, but because it affects all my cars I realized its the area where I live which seems to be a black hole for radio and cel signals which tend to be spotty from time to time.

my reception SUCKS.

all my other cars have great reception as to i do live on a hill, but everywhere i go i barely get recpetion in my fit. i hate it, im thinking about just taking off the antenna and replacing it with an xm/sirus module and just leave it at that.

I briefly took the mast off my parents Prius and screwed it in in place of the stock antenna. It improved reception noticeably.

I dont think my Fit has as good reception as my 7th gen bone
stock civic did, and certainly not as good as anyother car I have owned or used in the past 10 or so years.
Yeah maybe I will replace the midget antenna with a whip one, then my
Fit will look like an R/C car! hahahaa that way it will look as well
as handle like one!

Are you retarded? I actually like my fit. I just find the radio reception to be poorer than a VW cabrio, which is saying a lot.

Swap your antenna for a longer one, I have one from a Toyota Matrix. It just screwed right in.

Yes it works noticably better. It is 16" long (no interference with sport hatch spoiler, even when open). Don't know what year, I swapped it with a friends Matrix before he traded it. VW makes a very similar antenna. They can be found on ebay. I can't post attachments so no picture.

Smile Radio Reception FIXED!!!

I finally found a wonderful dealer in Wesley Chapel, FL that fixed my reception issue. They had to replace the antenna lead and amplifier.

Numbers of the parts from invoice are:

op/051d0

2 of the 91561-sjd-003 pillar clips
1 of the 39159-SLN-003 Antenna Feeder
1 of the 39152-sln-003 Antenna Base

Either way it is fixed and picking up all kinds of stations now.

I've got the problem with FM reception myself. I get short bursts of static on stations that should be clear. Has anybody bought an aftermarket antenna that works good?

I can only guess it's an antenna issue from what I've seen other people say.
