now, this is significant because the AVIC-D3 has BUILT-IN NAVIGATION. Most other nav units are at least $1000 or more. Just figured some people would wanna check it out.

 

Thats a pretty good deal! The cheapest I can find it up here in Canada is $800! Too bad I'm not going the audio route or I'd so pick this up with the iPod and Bluetooth module!

I've got 2 of these units (one in the FIT, one in the 'lude) and I absolutely love them!

The only thing that could be better IMO is the GPS system. Sometimes it kinda farts and loses where my actual location is and takes like 30-45secs for it to figure it out. Otherwise, hell of a deal for sure!

 

im still praying that i get my $200 rebate honored. theres some controversy over at avic411 whether amazon is a authorized seller of pioneer navigation. the pioneer website lists amazon, but only for plasma tv's, although some people claim to have gotten their rebate back already and bought through amazon.

 

Pretty nice deal.
