New System finally in
New System finally in
After months of stocking up on equipment I finally put most of it in. I am still trying a way to mount both amps in a way to keep most of my cargo space.
Equipment:
Pioneer DEH-P5900iB Head Unit
Metra Dash Kit, Wiring and Antenna Harnesses
Front Stage DLS MS6A 6.5" components, stockers in the rear (not in use)
Amps 2 Elemental Designs Nine.2's
ED 9Kv.2 Subwoofer w/ box and grill
ED eDead V1^2SE eDead V4
KnuKonceptz Wiring and Distro Blocks
2 point grounding kit

I really hope your not leaving your amps like that. Also, shorten the slack between your battery and fuseholder, and put some wire look on the power wire under your hood please.. safety first!!! Otherwise, enjoy the system

Also seal up that hole. That will ro you of more midbass than anything.

Cool. How are the crossovers attached to the door panel? Double sided tape? I am hoping to one day upgrade the stockers to either components or 6.5 2-ways. I know components are better, but in my old Civic with stock HU, I had some Polk dB somethings and they sounded really good - better than my old Pioneer components in my 2000 Civic.
On a related note, if you were to power door speakers with an amp, should you use upgraded wire? I could never figure out how to run the power wires through the doors in the Civic, so I just tapped into the speaker wires at the harness. I have much to learn, but I know a good set of components will sound great powered by a sub.

Depends on how owerful the amp is. It's always better to upgrade, but I don't see any problems using the stock wiring for 45Wrms or less.
I love the sound of DLS speakers but dont care for the "look" of the tweeters. For some reason I think "basketball" when I see the tweeters. In my current car I have the tweeters hidden behind the factory location.
I am gonna mount the amps to some carpeted MDF, I'm trying to figure out how to stack them. I'll tighten up the batt cable. I have some loom, I just wanted to make sure everything fits before i started finishing up.
The x-overs were mounted with gray double sided tape (the white one is garbage).
getting the speaker through the door grommet was not too bad on the passenger side; The drivers side was a bitch.

Everyone comments on the basketball grills of the DLS speakers.
I have almost all DLS in my car (not a Fit). Very nice gear.

Yes the left one is for the ground. The 2 8AWGs goto the amps and the single 4awg is grounded to the chassis.
Yeah although DLS looks like basketballs (or pan am logo if you're old school) they sound awesome! 100 times better than the MB quarts I had in my old car.
