AVIC-F700BT or AVIC-F900BT or AVIC-F90BT??

Like the title says, I'm in the market for an AVIC-F700BT receiver. I know it doesn't have the DVD feater compared with the 900 or 90 but I don't really need the DVD feature, but the Avic-F90BT comes with 4volts pre - outs. I'm wondering if this was worth it if I'm also adding subs and components. Would the 2volts preout on the F700BT make a huge difference in sound quality? I can find the F700BT for around $600 but the F90BT are like $200-$300 more. Any of you guys have these? Let me know what you think is a better choice.

Thanks,

-David

I'm in love with the 900BT!

Pioneer AVIC-F900BT Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com

If you don't have the desire for dvd capability, you've narrowed it down to F90 or 700. Choose wisely

Go with the F90. Spend the extra $$ now or you'll be sorry later that you didn't.

I don't lke the F90/900. Good units but the boot up is painfully slow.

I agree, but evOle didn't seem open to other options. I'm sure we would be happy to steer him in a better direction should he be willing to consider other HU's.

I'd be willing to hear about other Head units as well as I am still open minded, just don't want to buy something without doing research first. So far the avic f series caught my eye, but I am still unaware of similar if better units out there.

if you can find a pioneer D3 around for $500 or less, get it.

Isn't the new f's series the new upgrade for the D3? sure its cheaper but then again you have to put in the DVD's to use the navigation no?

i have the f90bt, boot up time is slow but not horrible. The features are awesome but its not without its issues. Pioneer just released an update that fixed a ton of issues with it. I use it with my 3g iphone and it rocks. Also the HD radio add on is cool.

Ad Lib,

Do you have any pics that you can share? I am considering getting the F90BT and would like to see how it looks in the car. Thanks in advance.

Pics and user coments please!

The F line is changing my mind about getting OEM Nav and justify it because of stability control! I mean it rains in Bay Area , but not 365 days a year! I would rather have limited slip anyway, but that is entirely different argument for a different section of the forum.

Please give us some more user opinions and some pics. Pro's and con's.

Ivan

I want the f700bt so bad (I don't really care about/want a DVD player in my car) but I'm having trouble justifying parting with about $500 for the unit and $xxx for installation.

Its worth it man.
Install can be done yourself with proper direction. If not, you can have it installed for 50$ at a shop.

boot up as in navigation turns on or what? I'm definitely loving the f900bt cuz of the great price and everything. I don't see bootup as a huge problem as long as the radio ipod connectivity starts up instantly, i can wait one minute for the navi 2 kick in.

The kenwood dnx5120 is a great headunit as well, however it doesn't come with built in bluetooth and usb connectivity in the box like the pioneer f900bt does, those are extra which will jack up the price an extra $150. i was ready 2 buy one too haha.

just so you guys know the F900BT and the F90BT are the same.. the F90BT just comes with the ipod cable for the interface.
