Lightbulb New Audio System

I recently bought a new head unit, 2 12's, and replaced all 4 of my speakers. I am kind of a noob on everything cars, but I was just wondering if it is possible if i can hook up my old head unit somehow outside of my car, like in my room. I can built a custom box for my speakers and radio, i just need to know if and how i can make it work.

its possible, you're going to need to get a power converter, make sure u have a switch to turn it on/off, and just wire everything up.
