I just bought a lead acid battery to get around so the guys at Advance Auto can do some deep cycle tests on the Optima.

Both of the Optimas died completely (flat lined) and instantly - no warning signs leading up to the failure. I'm also in Miami, so the weather shouldn't be a factor.

Anybody else see issues with the Optimas like mine? I'm going to run my Fit by the shop to test the electrical depending on what the battery tests say, but my car is full stock.
I seem to hear that a lot about that battery. Stock battery runs circles around that, and it's practically an ATV battery.

I got confirmation from Advanced Auto that the latest one was faulty too. Two warranty replacements in 2 years and 6 months. Ha.

My brand new replacement Yellow Top is heading straight to eBay.
