Automatic Climate Control

Does anybody know if this is something we could retrofit or cross fit into a USDM Fit?

I had the question. But wouldn't the digital temp display be in Celsius instead of Farhenheit?

That would be the least of your worries. The hard part is finding the face plate for a LHD vehicle.

face plate is easy, just get one from the European Models (Germany, France, Belgium etc). But in addition, you will need the control panel and also the electrics behind it. Not an easy job....

What ? Do you mean US Fit displays temp ? Here in Canada nothing like that.

You'd also have fun with the fitment of the LHD part on our Fits. Our dashes are different. There'd be some trimming to get it to sit correctly.

God knows how many differences there would be in the dash wiring to make it work as well.

Having owned Mercedes and Cadillac with ACC, I would not want it in a Fit. In fact, ACC is one of the reasons I will not own another US spec Benz.

Both those cars, repairs, and I would rather have manual control of heat and A/C, I found myself dorking with the settings more than with a conventional controls....

in other words, resuming if you want the "luxurious" look of your air controls, itll be a big proyect...only to mention that youll have to change manual controls to electric ones...fawkit

If i want to ebay for that piece of hardware, what am i looking for?

I want the control interface for my USDM fit. I know i have to change a lot, and i'm willing to do them, but i just want the LCD interface, i'll figure out the electronic interfacing to that LCD later on..

Is this the piece that your looking for.... they go for about $50~$100 USD used on Yahoo auctions Japan

Automatic Climate Control

The FIT in Japan has the automatic climate control where you just dial in the desired temperature and the electronics takes care of the AC or heater.

I am wondering if this is an easy installation in a US model FIT. Change out the AC trim panel and the electronics assembly (both available for sale in Japan).

The Honda Accord has this as a stock item, but the FIT does not.
