Mugen Pedals

Opinions on this item? I have an Automatic Fit, so I'm just getting the brake and accelerator, but just wondering if anyone has had any bad experiences or likes it.

hello FitVic..

Ya i actually found a thread on these, but thanks for the input. I'll post some pics when they are installed. Oh and supposedly these items aren't for Do it yourselfers.. unless you are a mechanic.. you gotta drill stuff and this and that.

Definitely a diy thing. Only drilling was for the four screws to hold the gas pedal on.

I have them on my GD3 and I love them! They are much nicer than the stockers and give you nice surface on the brake. Easy to clean up and they always look nice.

Very nice. Such a shame they're so pricey where I come from though.

That broken-up metal pedal face will work wonders for enthusiast drivers. Look Ma, no pedal slip

In my opinion, the Mugen pedals should come with foot rest cover as well. I saw one at Zeta Products. The one that match with Mugen pedals will cost $45 + $20 plus s&h.

Those that installed these yourself, did you drill? They come with self tapping screws, I just screwed mine straight into the gas pedal and it is solid.

There are specific holes for different models of car and annotated right inside the instructions. As long as you follow this, the install could easily be classified as simple.

i herad you can just use double sided tape. or is that dangerous? do we have to drill a pilot hole or something? or could we use self taping screws, or would double sided tape just be easest

No need to drill as they come with self-tapping screws. The pedal is a hard plastic and the screws just go right in.

The pedal feels metalic to me?? or are you talking about what's underneath (the black original pedal).
