still got alpine head unit on the way along with the patch cables .. but finished my install of the front speakers this weekend .I installed 6.5" alpine components , and even with the factory head unit the sound difference was nothing less then amazing !! Im a veteran when it comes to installs , and i gotta say it definately left me with my jaw dropped . Would love to post the pics I took , but for the life of me i cant figure out how!! lol

i did have to do alot of modifications with everything i did .. including modding the doorpanel to fit over the oversized mid

 

^ i had to do the same but it was all pretty simple otherwise. you should try to remount the tweeter so it sits flush; it'll look a lot cleaner.

 

I started with that .. But it wasn't quite big enough to cover the hole for the factory mounting .. I couldn't stand to see any gaps around the tweeter . Lol
