Hi all,

I have a UK 2005 Honda Jazz and recently replaced the stereo fascia so I could fit my after market head unit, took some time but got there in the end! Anyway, now I am looking to replace the front door speakers.

It's my understanding that 6.5" speakers will fit (any speakers or does it depend on manufacturer?) and taking off the door trim seems pretty straightforward, plus I can get a speaker adapter cable from ebay to remove any need for cutting/soldering wires. The only thing I'm not sure of is if I need to buy some kind of plastic speaker surround so it fits and clips into the "teardrop" shaped opening in the door or if I can just cut away the surround from the OEM speakers? All guides seem to be for 2008 onwards models so I don't want to make the assumption about mine.

Any help would be appreciated.
