Looks good, the black headlights really do set it apart from the crowd, though I'm surprised that I don't like the JDM smoked tails on it as much as I thought I would. Still, good work there! :)

rcantu 01-19-2007 12:55 PM

looks good.

are you in Texas or Cali? your profile says TX but i see your CA plates.

bestfit 01-19-2007 12:58 PM

very nice...i think.. your wheels are the best ones(so far) beside the honda oem ones...:D

like your drop.. tint...etc....gave me some inspirations..;)

07TaffetaFit 01-19-2007 01:20 PM

I'm lazy, Ive been living in Dallas, TX for a while now but still havent gotten the Texas plates yet... too busy spending money on the Fit ;o

rcantu 01-19-2007 01:26 PM

i'd keep it like that. no hassles for equipment mods cause you dont fall under TX vehicle code. no smog for 6 years in CA so no need for inspections too.

if i could, i'd keep out of state plates so i can do whatever i want to the car.

Raaaaaaaaaay. 01-19-2007 02:29 PM

Wow!!! The car looks great... :)
Im liking the black housings too; just when I started to like the color matched. :o

Love it.

vafitfreak 01-19-2007 03:03 PM

did you notice a big improvement with the header/testpipe?

MarkB 01-19-2007 03:37 PM

Wow!

That looks pretty slick! Just keep that ride out of that freezing rain eh? ;)

07TaffetaFit 01-19-2007 03:59 PM

The header/test pipe is where I noticed the largest performance gain...and I wish I had a garage to keep the car in, because we've had a rain/sleet/ice/snow storm in Dallas for the last week...ugh

Bounty Hunter 01-19-2007 04:13 PM

It looks really good. The wheels are the only thing that I'd change personally, but if you like them then stick with it. The NHBP headlights look great! I wonder how they'd look on Milano Red as well.

It looks like the front side tint is lighter than the rest of the car. Is it 35% front, 20% back?

Are those OEM JDM smoked tails or aftermarket knock offs?

MarkB 01-19-2007 04:35 PM

I can't imagine that those wheels are very good on that ice. Good luck Dude. It looks like you may be hit with another ice storm ( looking at the news) What ever you do don't smash it. Especially after you just finished it. Avoid driving if you can or at least avoid the highway if you can. That's where most of the madness if by the looks of it.

EDIT: Nasty!

aziatiklover 01-19-2007 05:21 PM

looking good man love the hard work u done

07TaffetaFit 01-19-2007 08:03 PM

I agree that the wheels arent necessarily the ones I wanted, I really want Volk TE37s...but I also didnt wanna pay the astronomical prices some people pay for Volk, Racing hart, etc so i decided to get cheaper wheels and use the extra money towards the other stuff.

Yes the tint is lighter in the front, California has wierd rules about tint..ugh

I try not to drive the car at all in this weather, unless I have to.

kentris 01-19-2007 11:30 PM

Looks good there. Reaaally nice and clean! GJ!

Don't worry about the tints, UK tint laws are just as iffy here.

YOu have to let at least 70% light in for the front windows. Eugh.

koolkevin1107 01-20-2007 01:22 AM

that is a super clean car i really like it. one question: are those authentic jdm taillights or replica's? nice car tho for reelz!

Harry_Fit 01-20-2007 01:23 AM

You don't know how jealous I am...please don't tell me you have black interior. That would just break my heart.:(

07TaffetaFit 01-20-2007 09:50 AM

They are authentic JDM

The test pipe comes with a spark plug defouler, and I havent had one single CEL.

:( And no, I dont have black interior....sniff sniff

Paulo107 01-20-2007 10:53 AM

looks great!!! How are the coilovers? Is there any rub with them on...the ride height looks good...did you just put the coilovers on and tune them or did you just slap them on without messing with the settings
really sweet yo:D

towelie 01-20-2007 11:23 AM

looks good i cant wait for my tail lights

07TaffetaFit 01-20-2007 11:54 AM

I put them on, did a couple separate test drives, and then just messed with the ride height and dampening each time... I love em, like alot of others have said, it really flattens out the car in corners and makes the car feel great. It reminds me alot of my CRX. I am looking to get a set of tower bars here in the near future because you can still feel the frame of the car twist under hard turning.

As for rubbing, I have had absolutely no problems with rubbing unless I hit really large bumps, but any other time the car rides with no problems.

JDMish 01-20-2007 12:28 PM

Where did you pick up these megan coilovers?
BTW the car looks great!

HFit USA 01-20-2007 01:25 PM

holy crap! that thing looks wick'd bro.....def..gonna have to go over the weekend to meet or see the little buger....keep up the work bro...

FitSport 01-20-2007 01:45 PM

Very nice. 1 suggestion. Get the Ebay "Fit" emblem and swap the blue dot over the i with the red one in the ebay emblem. It will tie in with the "H" emblem and finish off the back end. Very subtle mod but looks hella sweet.....

Cannon 01-20-2007 04:47 PM

Anyone have a rag? I just had a joygasism all over my keyboard!

sirhc 01-20-2007 05:07 PM

So Fresh!!! So Clean!!!

07TaffetaFit 01-20-2007 06:33 PM

I got the coilovers through meganracing.com. Thanks for all the comments!

Mynute 1 01-20-2007 10:50 PM

I think you did a great job on your car. I like the smooth and clean look and you have nailed it. Good luck with Mother Nature, I hope she's not too hard on you guys.

SPoonFit7 01-21-2007 11:35 AM

lookin nice.....keep up the good work!

07TaffetaFit 01-21-2007 03:30 PM

Yeah, it finally cleared up and is nice and sunny out... Hopefully one of these days I can get some sweet Volk/Mugen rims to really make it look complete...

hows the dampening adjustment on the coilovers?
these come with pillowballs, front and rear?

07TaffetaFit 01-21-2007 09:39 PM

no pillowballs...which sucks, and the dampening seems to be about as good as any coilover Ive had, even though there are 32 settings, they are in such small increments that is pretty hard to tell....

arsonall 01-21-2007 10:00 PM

their site says they come with pillowball upper mounts, but they don't come with them?

you found a nice dampening setting though, hopefully somewhere in the middle?

07TaffetaFit 01-22-2007 12:23 PM

I put it a little on the softer side and to me, it feels really nice. Yeah I know it says pillowballs, but evidentally thats a generic overall statement. I talked with the guys from Megan and they said they just couldnt fit anything like that on the Fit. If you look under the hood you can see how tight it is...

hondaf1racing 01-22-2007 12:46 PM

Nice ride! Looks pretty similar to what I wanted to do with mine when I get one.

Elem3nt 01-23-2007 03:48 AM

hows the ride on the megan coilovers?

Great! The coilovers really make the Fit handle...

k-fit23 02-08-2007 06:46 PM

nice ride.. love the rims and drop. what size tires are you running? i want to go with 215/40s on 17s. please tell me thats what you are sitting on.

07TaffetaFit 02-08-2007 09:14 PM

Yep, sorry for not replying to ya sooner... Yeah they are 215/40-17s. Ive had no problems with rubbing except in the front if I hit real bad dips in the road.

k-fit23 02-08-2007 09:28 PM

thanks for the info and getting back to me. one more thing, did you have to roll yer fenders and how low is your drop. how do ya roll fenders anyway:D where did you get the headlighta too?
