Cool plates!

Is it just the pic, or are your rear tires almost bald?

Thought that US plates had a max of 6 places for numbers/letters?

Our state allows for 8 total - so may have to abbreviate to make it work but lots of fun trying to make something unique.

1) Cool plates, but... I know a guy in my area who's Ontario plate is 'COOL 4x4', that's his real and legal personalized plates, what he's driving now? a Toyota Corolla, he was forced to get rid of his 4x4 due to high gas prices and couldn't afford other plates... so, hopefully you will keep your Fit as long as possible, otherwise...
2) What's your Fit mileage, I personally have driven my Fit for over 23K miles and my tires are in pretty fair shape, front and especially rear ones!!!

You don't have to transfer your plates over to your new vehicle.

Ontario 8-character personalized licence plates (front and rear) cost C$237.30, with 6-characters plus graphic C$316.80 (tax included), if you don't mind store them in your bedroom, well, no further comment...
I myself have such 8-character plates but with a very powerful patriotic/military message and obviously they fit any vehicle I might own in the future

In Massachusetts you pay per year (for personalized) and if you get a new car, you can get a different plate or transfer it over. If you get a new one, you have to turn in your old plates.

So what's the (total) cost of those plates?
In Ontario you MUST pay the plates in full before they reserve them to you... they are ready in about 21 days...

As much as you, I and most of the people on this forum would like to keep the car, at one certain point in time we will have to look for something else, my previous car, a '98 Civic h/back, was good for 8 long years and over 300K miles...
BTW, how much cost personalized plates in VA, just to compare it with the freaking expensive Ontario!
And I forgot, you said VA, the only state in the Union (DC is just a small city and not a state itself) where RDs are prohibited in passenger cars... that sucks, unless you get the Beltronics STI, fully undetectable by all RDDs cops might use nowadays

Oh, a lot of mileage, a hard working guy (and Fit) I bet you rotated tires couple of times already, the rear ones in the picture for sure once were the front ones... my advice, wait until Nov or Dec, just before snowy weather starts again and get brand-new all-season tires, as much as the current ones look (are) a little bold you won't have any problems driving on very dry roads, I always change tires (if needed of course) right before mid-Dec so to get into the winter fully prepared for anything
Take care now and Happy Easter!
Chris
