TWB with smoked headlights - Wut'ya think?
I've got one done (not a very good job) and I'm trying to decide whether to go ahead or not. What do you all think? Tinting a roundish surface with a flat material is not easy!! Neary drove me to drinkin', no wait, I already do that. Well, it did stress me out! But it looks REALLY dark. I'm not sure.....

WOW! I think they look awesome, real awesome! Man does TWB grab the eyeball
When applying the tint, try using a blow dryer to round it with the headlight.
Unless youre already doing that.
Any plans to tint the tails or fogs?

NOOOOOOO!!! Please don't make me do the other one!
(I could just do one right?) Actually, I'm about to go out do the other...sigh....
I think this tint is too dark to do the whole tail light but I did hold a piece up to the clear part and it looked good! I've been toying with doing the fogs yellow. I'll probably re-do this first headlight (if the stuff comes off) because it took doing one to get the hang of it (sort of).
FYI, I did use the hair dryer. Still hard.

Maybe you should do them lighter, as you were thinking? Like 35-50%?
Youll notice theyre tinted but not TINTED...
If youre going to change the tint better do it before the sun gets ahold of it for a free days.
Removing it may suck. You cant take a razor too it either.

He just emailed me to tell me! Just got to get him to make the fogs too.
OP - I think it looks good. I'd just make sure that driving at night (and in a good FL rain storm) allows an ok light output.

Its unique
Ummm... I dont think it looks bad...but its really, really dark (But...I am also currently running a really dark monitor so....idunno)
I think a NBP housing or painted housing would be very effective looking also and it would be safer. I like seeing a bit more chrome in headlamps usually. (heck it still surprises me that ours match the body color)
I believe the film that is sold specifically for the headlamps is a bit more forgiving and lends itself more to being manipulated with heat. If I remember correctly tint does not have the same give/elasticity.

Squirrely:
I think it looks good. I would like to see them at night time to see how well the light goes through the tint. You definitely want to see and be seen at night. I checked out the web site and I want to order some more stickers from this company - I watched the video showing application of the headlight tinting and those guy made it look so easy. I would definitely want an extra pair of hands to help with the blow dryer! The video showed them spraying with liquid and moving the film around for good placement - of course everything looks easier on a video because they have probably done it a hundred times! Good luck when you tackle the other side. We want more pictures! and at night too!
Let me know how the fog lights go - I am definitely interested in doing yellow on the MR Fit.

Ok, here's the deal. I went out to do the second one and could NOT make it work. After 2 hours of sweating and swearing (funny, those words are very similar) I took it off.
So, sorry, no pictures. I did turn on the lights in the garage and there was a significant drop in the output.
QUESTION: Is there a spray tinting product out there and is it any good? I'll have to check out some of the other options you guys mentioned - not that I want to spend more money (they need a poverty icon on here). Must...go...drown...sorrows...now
Thanks for all your input! I appreciate it!

no dont get those.
for the fogs just get the lamin-x. its worth the 15 bucks. its a cleaner look, it actually has a purpose to it. and yeah.
vht personally sucks. i would rather do an over lay. if you do the vht spray wrong it could turn out very ugly looking. at first it may look good, but over
time it starts to look like matte black.

I agree, I think some black housing headlights would be a better option. Props on trying something different. The tint would just reduce your visibility at night. Even those smoked spray can applications. Oh yea and blacked foglight housings would be very pimp!
