Anyone Have A front tow hook installed?

hey guys i have been debating on getting a front tow hook for my new fit, a T1R seems to be the front runner. i was wondering if anyone had any pics of them installed on your cars. Let me know cause i would love to see them.

thanks!

I installed a Demco (go to their site and download the installation instructions for the 9517215) and have been more than pleased with the results. The installation instructions were great, but you may have to have a few more tools than they talk about. For example. The Sport model has a set of fog lamps on either side of the grill. To clear these you have to grind about 1/4" off both ends of the bracket after it is installed so the front end will fit. This installation was on a manual transmission Fit Sport. If you have an automatic transmission talk to your local dealer about pulling a toad with all 4 on the road.

Hey man. I just ordered a set of Benen tow hooks for my fit. Was the install difficult to do? Can you tell me how you did yours? Thanks!

How does the Benen front tow hook install? Looks like its going inside the radiator grill area instead of using the OEM front hook location.

i dont get it. that just makes it easier for someone to steal your car.

or even to jack it off your car at that.

meh, i guess its just for looks...but its another tool for thieves heh.

sorry I havent looked at this thread. you have to drill two holes into the front support beam, its a bitch to do but I like how it fits and looks. plus no one can steal it off the car like the other ones

i want one like that george02.

you know why?

its because everyone and their mommas love to stand around in a big parking lot. and i never have a place to put my drink. so i use other peoples tow hooks(people that i know of course) to hold my drink. it comes in handy.

but i dont like the tow hooks that actually fit in our tow hook area.
