In terms of fingers...it went from the stock 4 finger gap to a 1 finger gap. With the basics you can choose what setting you would like though =)

how's the ride quality? i was thinking of going with either the springs or a full coilover, but i don't wanna lose the smoothness of the ride.

sam21: I paid ~825.00 before taxes (taxes was ~75.00.) Then I paid two-hundo to have them installed professionally.

ha-y: I was worried big time about the resulting ride, and I am very pleased to announce that I was worried for nothing. While the ride feel did change (mostly noticeable when you go over a large bump on the freeway,) it did not change nearly as much as I imagined it would. I can't recommend springs or coilovers in terms of ride quality because I have not been in a Fit with springs. However, I feel super happy with the results of the extra cash spent on coils, and the peace of mind about not blowing one of my stock shocks. Also, like hgmFIT said...I can adjust my Fit down to a no finger gap, or back up to stock height if I wanted too.

Does the TEIN basics have the adjustment comp thingy in car? or do you have to turn the knob?

Initially you have to turn the knob...but I believe you can buy an add-on for the basics that will allow you to adjust them remotely...someone correct me if I'm wrong

Towelie: Yes the Tein Basics are adjustable

Tool and Fit_Love: I feel you guys on going lower...but I asked the guy to leave me a 1 finger gap to begin with. Once I get used to taking speed bumps and dips at my current height I may continue dropping it the rest of the way down

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, I draw a lot of my inspiration from the work most of you have already done to your Fits
