Went and picked up some wood today in the Fit

Well, I am building a new work table for the production room at work. As such, I figured I needed about 14 8' 2x4's in order to build them. I headed up to Home Depot, bought the 8 casters I needed, as well as 14 8' 2x4's.

Everything fit just perfect! Pictures are here

wood!

Thanks for the pics. One of the reasons I chose the fit was the need, a couple of times per year, to do some minor construction. I'd like to see someone with longer lumber (10 feet) sticking out the back and how that worked out.

Yea... if they made the rear window openable, it would be perfect. Just hang the long boards out the window and not have to have the hatch open.

Did you pick your parking spot based on the SSM Fit parked across from you?

The SSM parked pretty far back from the centerline.

I do that all the time. If there is a fit in the parking lot anywhere i make sure and park beside it.

Yeah, with the front passenger seat folded the Fit can hold longer items than my Explorer inside. However, the Explorer's back window opens giving it the ability to hold anything as long as it's balanced and you have a flag.
